I read that fasting for a day is good, and I tried that today, but at 4:00ish I started getting "the shakes." Can you tell me why, and how to deal with this? I have no medical problems. Thanks!

It may be that you are experiencing low blood sugar, but it is not possible for us to say from afar.
Perhaps you should ease into it more slowly.

Additionally, if you are consuming large amounts of starches and sugars during the course of the day, fasting will be more difficult. Changing your base diet is important. See these links for more information:
