Question:
Does Dr. Wysong believe in dentals for dogs? If not what is his answer because I have tried his dental products and I am brushing my dogs teeth but it's difficult to keep all tarter away.
Answer:
If there is significant tartar build up on the teeth a dental scraping may be necessary. Once the tartar is removed, the previous recommendations should keep the teeth clean.
Also, if any of the teeth are loose as a result of advanced periodontal disease, extractions may be necessary.
Question:
I use many of your products. I purchased this product 5 weeks ago. I have a Bichon Frise with only a small amount of plaque, but I was being careful.
I don't see any improvement as yet. Please advise.
Answer:
You should be starting to see results anytime soon.
To help get the product actually on the teeth, you can smear on with a toothbrush or your finger. Also, sprinkling it into an empty bowl for your pet to lick is effective.
Results do vary. In some instances, if the plaque is particularly hardened, allowing your pet to chew on raw bones will help. As a last resort you may have to have it removed by a veterinarian.
Once removed, DentaTreat will help the teeth stay clean.
