Question:
I am a veterinarian. Do the Rx diets follow AAFCO on an as fed basis or as formulated basis (meaning tested using a feeding trial).

Answer:
The Rx diets do not attempt to target AAFCO levels but are rather nutrigenomically designed to address organ systems. However, Wysong Rx diets do meet (actually exceed) the nutrient requirements set by AAFCO for maintenance for cats and dogs. This is on an as fed basis.
