I have been apprehensive about using the protein powder I ordered a while back because of the recalls of protein powder. Where does Wysong obtain its ingredients? Also, I have not eaten beef for many years for many reasons, but one of them is the general health of the beef in this country. I noticed that beef colostrum is one of the ingredients in your powder and would like to know if you can assure that it cannot pass on disease. Also, do any of your ingredients come from China?
Answer:
Please see this link about ingredient sourcing:
http://www.wysong.net/pet-health-and-nutrition/ingredient-sourcing.php. We do not have any recalls on protein ingredients.
Any risk of contracting BSE from cattle could possibly be linked to ingesting neurological tissue from a diseased animal (i.e. brain, spinal cord etc..). Bovine colostrum is sourced from milk of healthy cattle. The risk of any disease from this ingredient is unlikely.
For the best health, Dr. Wysong recommends eating in variety (which minimizes any risk from any single food source), and to follow the
